ONGC Selection Criteria & Medical Rules

• Final Selection Weightage : The selection parameters are mapped out of 100 Marks. It consists of CBT Score (85% Weightage) and Personal Interview (15% Weightage). Shortlisted candidates in a 1:5 ratio will be called for interviews based on CBT scores.
• CBT Qualifying Minimum Marks : General/EWS/OBC candidates must score a minimum of 45% marks. SC/ST/PwBD candidates require a minimum of 40% marks to qualify.
• Interview Qualifying Minimum Marks : General/EWS/OBC candidates must score at least 60% marks (9 out of 15 marks). SC/ST/PwBD candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks (6 out of 15 marks).
• Medical Standards Restrictions : Complete or partial color blindness and night blindness are NOT acceptable for any stream under this advertisement. Myopia or Hypermetropia (including cylinder) must not exceed -4.00 D or +4.00 D parameters respectively.
• Eligibility Cutoff Rule : Only those candidates who have already acquired the regular qualifying degree on or before the application last date are eligible. Qualification acquired via distance mode is accepted only if recognized by central statutory bodies.
